Glossary
Active Coils - Those coils which are free to deflect under load.
Angular - relationship of ends The relative position of the plane of the hooks or loops of extension springs to each other.
Baking - Heating of electroplated springs to relieve hydrogen embrittlement.
Hot Wound Springs
Typical applications for hot wound springs include uses in: Transportation and industrial applications. Hot Wound Springs manufactured by Mid-West spring are made of Alloy Steel in sizes from .500 up to 1 7/8" diameter. We stock a large inventory of Steel Sizes to accommodate quick deliveries.
Leaf and Suspension Springs
Landrum Spring manufactures a variety of leaf springs to accommodate a wide range
of chassis configuration and weight. We manufacture leaf springs for both asphalt
and dirt performance as well as both light weight and extra heavy weight
